The company
ARTTHUR FRANK was started by a German Jewish gentleman by the name of
Mr. Artthur Frank in the early 1950s. In the year 1963, it was taken over by Mr. H. P. Roy (my late father), a gentleman with dynamic vision, who then proceeded to make this one of the major
indenting firms dealing with companies like Glyco Metall Werke (Germany), Clevite (USA), Balo (Germany), Belaco (United Kingdom) and Federal Mogul (USA). The main business is of
automotive spare parts.
Since the last twenty years, however, we have moved into
Exports and are Merchant Exporters. We have a huge supplier base so that one is not dependent on one supplier and the competition is healthy. This also helps in protecting our customers to the fullest extent. Being a buying house with all our in-house facilities, our clients get the right product at the right price.
Our turnover is approximately 1 million USD. Our quality control is taken care of by ten Checkers and overseen by one Master Checker in each department. We have about twenty permanent staff members and depending on the type of work, we take up indirect labour and keep a check on the overhead expenses.
Presently, we are
exporting to USA, West Indies, Canada, South Africa, and are developing markets in Australia and New Zealand etc. We are a Dun & Bradstreet registered Company which is very important in the USA for Terry Towels. Besides this, we are registered with the Indo-African Chamber of Commerce as life member, and are in the process of becoming an ISO 9001 Company.
